Prof. Dr. EROL ULUSOY (Lawyer)

Prof. Dr. Erol ULUSOY was born in Kırıkkale in 1966.
He studied at Hasanoğlan Atatürk Teacher’s School in 1977-1980.
He studied at Ankara Police College in 1980-1984.
He studied at the Police Academy in 1984-1986.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law of Ankara University in 1989.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Vienna in 1996.
In 1995 he prepared his PhD thesis on “Minderheitenschutz in Aktiengesellschaften” (Protection of Minorities in Joint Stock Companies) at the Faculty of Law of the University of Vienna and received the title of “doctor of law” (“Dr.iur.”).
In 2005, he presented his thesis on “Prohibition of Transactions with the Company in Joint Stock Companies and Double Representation” and successfully passed the “Associate Professor Exam” and became an “associate professor of commercial law”.
He completed his internship as a lawyer in Kırıkkale. in 1990.
After completing his one-year “judicial internship” in various courts before the Vienna State Supreme Court in 1996, he worked as a paralegal in Vienna for a short time.
In 1997, he started to work as a commercial law lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Marmara University.
Between 2005 and 2011, he taught commercial law, banking law and capital market law at Marmara University Banking and Insurance Institute and High School, and served as a board member of the Banking and Insurance Institute and Higher School.
Between 2008-2009, he was the Head of Capital Market Department of Marmara University Banking and Insurance School in 2008-2009.
Between 2011 and 2014, he worked as a professor of commercial law at Istanbul Aydın University Faculty of Law and served as the head of the commercial law department.
He worked as the Vice Rector of Istanbul Aydın University between 2011-2013.
Between 2013 and 2016, he was the Head of the Department of Commercial Law at the Faculty of Administrative Sciences of Trakya University.
Between 2002-2004, he worked as a visiting lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the University of Bielefeld in Germany.
Between 2005-2009, he gave lectures on intensified Turkish Law in different semesters (Lehrbeauftragte) at the Faculty of Law of University of Münster in Germany.
In 2017-2018, he gave Turkish Law courses as a lecturer (Lehrbeauftragte) at the Faculty of Law of the Potsdam University in Germany.
Between 2018-2020, he worked as a commercial law lecturer at the Faculty of Law of Istanbul Aydın University.
In 2018, he worked as a Deputy Dean at the Faculty of Law of Istanbul Aydın University.
He is currently working as a freelance lawyer in Istanbul.
He is an Economic Law Columnist at Milliyet Newspaper.
